BS in horticulture from BYU-Idaho, MS in plant science from Oregon State University, PhD in horticulture from Washington State University

Favorite book:

There are so many! I love old science fiction and historical fiction, my favorite author is Bernard Cornwell. My all time favorite is probably David Fairchild's The World was My Garden

Favorite movie:

Lord of the Rings and Interstellar

Favorite hobby:

Camping and making stuff (anything really from carving to 3D printing to furniture)

Favorite place:

Rowena Head in the Columbia Basin in the spring or deep in the pacific northwest old growth forest
