BYU Arts presents the Venice Baroque Orchestra and the acclaimed Scottish violinist Nicola Benedetti in concert March 1.

The group appears in concerts throughout Europe, North and South America, Israel, Australia and the Far East.

The widely-acclaimed ensemble, showcasing approximately 95 of BYU’s finest student musicians, will feature three landmark works for the orchestra. 

The Winter Choirfest is an annual event featuring all four of the BYU auditioned choirs: BYU Singers, Concert Choir, Men’s Chorus and Women’s Chorus.

As part of the 2016-2017 BRAVO! season, BYU Arts will be hosting the Limón Dance CompanyLimón Dance Company is known as one of the legendary companies associated with modern dance in the United States. 

Young Company will perform a unique rendition of Macbeth targeted for young people ages 9-14 years old, although the story and performance is meant to be enjoyable for ages 10 and older. 

Known as the preeminent banjoist of his generation, three-time Grammy nominee Pikelny will perform in the Madsen Recital Hall

Beyond the unique additions of character development, the show also includes two Marys and a unique set design based on inspiration gathered from a trip to London.

Theatre Ballet will perform excerpts from La Sylphide, Birthday Variations by Gerald Arpino and other assorted works.

The festival consists of three contemporary theatre productions from the UK and Australia: Every Brilliant Thing, It’s Dark Outside and The Adventures of Alvin Sputnik: Deep Sea Explorer.
