The performance will include “Incantation and Dance” and “Release the Hounds,” by Daniel Montoya as well as a piece honoring Rosa Parks. 

The concert will feature music from Russia, Italy and America.

After five years of work BYU has obtained the rights for the production. In preparation for the performance, seats were removed from the Pardoe Theatre to make room for a track that will run through the audience.

The Philharmonic is the flagship orchestra of the five orchestras in the BYU School of Music. This performance is an annual event that will feature the best junior, senior and graduate students in the School of Music. 

The BYU Symphony Orchestra will perform Mar. 9 at 7:30 p.m. in the de Jong Concert Hall of the Harris Fine Arts Center. The performance will include a variety of compositions including works by Mozart, Puccini and Tchaikovsky.

The concert will feature music from American composers such as Bernstein, Copland, John Williams, Gershwin and more. 

The National Dance Council of America has selected the DanceSport Championship at BYU to be its showcase event of the year in amateur dance with $42,000 in championship prize rewards.
