Interim Director Matthew Nielsen said the students always look forward to this end-of-year performance. In fact, the choir has been working on some of these pieces since September.

The performance begins with the “Violin Concert no. 1” by Dmitri Shostakovich with artist Alex Woods. The second half of the concert is given over to Sergei Rachmaninoff's famous “Symphony no. 2, in E Minor.”

The concert will also include the presentation of the United States National Amateur Cabaret Champions, and BYU students, Benjamin Ralph and Kayci Treu.

“There is nothing quite like the power of music in helping us to express emotions,” BYU Singers member Elisa Thurber said. “Performing and rehearsing never fails to be a healing experience for me."
