Seasonal Groundskeeper at the Country Club

Description:

The Country Club of Salt Lake City is looking for highly motivated individuals to join their maintenance team.
Under the supervision of the Assistant Superintendent or Section Leader, you will perform routine maintenance practices to ensure pristine playing conditions and a positive golf experience for members and their guests.

Qualifications:

Hard working and self-motivated. The ability to work outside in varying weather conditions. Candidates must be able to lift 50+lbs repeatedly. Must be able to perform manual labor such as walking, digging, raking, and ability to stay on their feet most of the day. Attention to detail and the ability to follow oral and written directions. Food people skills are highly desirable. Must be able to work as a team to accomplish tasks. Maintain a clean, safe work environment. Must be able to maintain a professional appearance when dealing with members. Basic knowledge of golf is a plus.

Responsibilities:

Must be able to arrive to work on time. Spring/Fall hours are 7:00am-3:30 pm. Summer hours are 5:00-1:30 pm M-F. Weekends require 4 hours. The ability to operate hand mowers, string trimmers, ability to rake and maintain sand bunkers, set tee markers, pick up trash, remove debris from course, repair divots, plant flowers, weeding, shrub and tree planting as well as trimming. Ability to maintain fuel and fluid levels in equipment on a daily basis. Performs daily tasks necessary to keep the maintenance facility clean, organized and safe. Insure optimal playing conditions for members/ guests. Ability to perform other duties as directed by his/her supervisor.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • $13/hr plus overtime
  • Limited Golf privileges
  • Season ending bonus
