Shannon Nelson is an Environmental Science master’s student. Her current research focuses on increasing soil moisture and rangeland seedling establishment following disturbance using super absorbent polymers. Her other interests include soil rehabilitation, microsite improvement, and assisted succession. She enjoys field and greenhouse work but her favorite soil to experiment with is found in her own yard and garden.
