Samantha Shumate is an Environmental Science undergraduate from Sherman, Texas. She currently works as the manager of a research project focusing on using remote sensors to detect stress in turfgrass and how it applies to water conservation in irrigation management. She is also the TA for the Soils Science class under Dr. Hansen. After graduating, Samantha hopes to pursue a career in sustainability consulting for positive social impact.
