As an agronomist I meet face to face with farmers in Idaho. Rocky Mountain Agronomics is one of the largest independent agronomic businesses out there. I take soil and water samples and discuss my fertilizer and chemical recommendations with our growers. The best agronomist is the one in your field and I work hard to exemplify that. My ultimate goal is to succeed together with farmers. As an independent agronomy business, we aren’t tied to selling or pushing specific products and rely on providing only solutions that farmers need, saving money and resources for where they are most needed. As a PhD I’ve been brought on to provide scientific expertise in developing Rocky Mountain Agronomics research and development activities. There is a huge volume of data that needs to be managed in this business and managing data well will allow us to have clear insights on how we can improve as a company. Each of our 22 agronomists is responsible for conducting 2 research field trials. My responsibility is to manage and advise those trials, so they are robust and trustworthy. I also conduct greenhouse agricultural research trials and provide literature and writing support. Our product formulations as well suited to agriculture in the west and my goal is to use our data and results to demonstrate the story of our data and process clearly to our farmer partners.
