Join us for the first annual Utah Lake Symposium
Wednesday August 4th, 10:30 am - 3:00 pm, UVU Clarke Building Room 510
Utah Lake is one of the largest and most productive freshwater lakes in the western U.S. This keystone ecosystem is the centerpiece of our community, providing critical habitat, abundant recreational opportunities, and invaluable ecosystem services such as removing pollution and creating local precipitation. In this time of dramatic change, we need evidence-based management and legislation to protect and restore this unique, beautiful, and dynamic lake.
The Utah Lake Symposium brings together top ecological, legal, and management experts to discuss the status and future of Utah Lake. This free, public event is intended for interested community members of all backgrounds. Researchers from across the state will present a comprehensive but nontechnical overview of the challenges and opportunities facing our lake. Audience members can ask questions, get to know researchers and managers, and participate in the artwork and logo competition.
The in-person event is limited to 300 attendees, so register today to reserve your seat and lunch!
