Native Range: Sonoran Desert (Arizona/Northern Mexico)

Native Habitat: gravelly slopes, rocky ridges and outwash fans

Cultural Use/Significance: The Saguaro is traditionally important to Native American groups in Arizona and Mexico. Various parts were/are used for food, medicine, and building. It is the state flower of Arizona.

Temperature: Above freezing

Irrigation: Water deeply once a month

Humidity: 15-60%

Fertilizer: Fertilize once each spring (March)

Substrate: Well-drained soil

Light: Full Sun
