Common Name: Hybrid Bermudagrass
Hybrid Bermudagrass has all the same characteristics as Common Bermudagrass. However, Hybrid Bermudagrass is most commonly a mix between Common Bermudagrass and African Bermudagrass. The mixture of these two often produces a finer leaf texture, improved density, and a darker more aesthetic looking green. The seeds of the hybrid mixture are often sterile, and thus Hybrid Bermudagrass is almost always planted by either sod or sprigs.
