Cultural Use/Significance: Common houseplant. Flowers secrete sap that smells and tastes like honey.


Cultural Requirements
Temperature: 60-85°F
Irrigation: Allow soil to become nearly dry between waterings. Do not use cold water
Relative Humidity: High
Fertilizer:
Substrate: Loose, well-draining potting mix, high in organic matter. Appreciates being somewhat rootbound.
Light: Partial Shade. Bright, indirect light.
Flowering: Do not prune spurs where flowers previously appeared, as it they will reappear from that same spur.
