Graduate assistantship available at the University of Georgia.
The research project will focus on evaluating management practices for controlling seedheads on bermudagrass, seashore paspalum, and zoysiagrass.
Efficacy of herbicides and growth regulators applied before and after seedhead emergence on the three species will be evaluated to develop recommendations for practitioners.
The student will also evaluate physiological effects of environment and herbicides on seedhead emergence and control in lab, growth chamber, and greenhouse research.
The opportunity to translate research findings into extension information and presentation will also be provided.
