|Project Title: Reclaiming Boreal Linear Corridors by Enhancing Soil Condition

I am seeking for a responsible student with interest in soil science and land reclamation.
Basic knowledge of soils,
Proactive and flexible,
Willingness to undertake new scientific approaches, to engage data analyses and writing,
The following assets will also be used in the selection:
A teamwork aptitude--an ability to work both independently and with others,
A desire to present results in public,
A 3.5 GPA or better, and
A valid driver's license and clean driving record/abstract
The selected student with start January 2015
Field summer work will be in sites in the boreal forest in Alberta within the context of linear disturbance due to seismic lines. Laboratory work will involve novel instrumentation to describe the physical basis and metrics of soil properties.
