A graduate assistantship at the M.S. level in turfgrass management is available for qualified candidate to begin research in May 2014, and coursework in August 2014. Research will focus on optimizing fairway renovation practices and post-renovation management to transition to more sustainable turfgrass. The candidate must be highly motivated to pursue an advanced degree and have a B.S. in turfgrass science, plant science, agronomy, horticulture, or related field. They must also have an interest in conducting practical field based research and the ability and willingness to obtain a CT state driver's and pesticide applicator's license. This is a funded assistantship in the Department of Plant Science and Landscape Architecture at the University of Conneticut located in Storrs and includes a tuition waiver, yearly graduate stipend and health benefits.
