Description:
This position combines both on the job and classroom training in preparation for an Assistant Store Manager position.
Our manager trainee candidates work alongside an existing seasoned management team and serve as an integral part of the overall performance of the store and company.
Manager trainees participate in sales, customer service and management tasks.
Manager trainees will participate in a 16-week manager training course including classroom and on-the job training in areas such as:

Store Operations
Human Resources
Visual Merchandising
Understanding financial Reporting
Operations
Buying
Horticulture

Program Benefits:

Paid internship with 40 hour work week
Intern networking
Retail, Growing, Landscape and Corporate opportunities

Internships must be a minimum of eight weeks
Housing is the responsibility of the intern, but we will assist.

Selected store managers will oversee the training process along with our Training Managers at both companies.

Qualifications:

Actively seeking a career in a retail environment.
Currently studying Horticulture
Must be able to perform daily activities which may include some lifting(up to 40lbs) and moderate physical activity.
is able to travel and train at other Armstrong Garden Centers or Pike Nurseries
